The City of Grand Terrace will host its 16th Annual Walk on Blue Mountain event, at the Corner of Palm Avenue and Honey Hill Drive, Saturday, March 4, 2023, beginning at 8 a.m.

The 16th Annual Walk on Blue Mountain event will take place rain or shine. Guests may park on the street. Hike participants must start up the mountain between 8 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. and start down no later than 12:00 p.m. and be back at the staging area at Honey Hill Drive and Palm Avenue by 1:30 p.m. Dogs on a leash are welcome to join, but owners are asked to clean up after them.

Hikers must fill out a liability waiver form, which can be found on the City’s website www.grandterrace-ca.gov. The forms will be available on the day of the hike, but everyone is encouraged to bring the completed form with them. On behalf of accompanied minors, guardians must sign a liability waiver.

Distance and altitude markers adorned with rocks painted by community volunteers will help hikers track their progress. The hike is 3.24 miles round-trip, with an elevation gain of 1,092 feet.

The Friends of Blue Mountain will be raising money at the event. Visitors may purchase “I Hiked Blue Mountain” merchandise. Cash will be the only form of accepted payment. Hikers will also have the opportunity to provide donations to the Friends of Blue Mountain which are tax deductible.
