GRAND TERRACE>> On July 28, at approximately 12:07 a.m., Deputy Tabor from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Central Station (Grand Terrace Police), ran a records check on a red 1991 Dodge Ram.
The vehicle was reported stolen on July 26, out of the Rialto Police Department area. The driver/suspect Marcos Martinez Alfonso, pulled into a driveway when Deputy Tabor activated his emergency lights and siren. Alfonso attempted a U-turn in the driveway, but due to the vehicles size he was unable to complete the turn. Deputy Tabor and assisting Deputy Carrico were forced to make contact with Alfonso as he was attempting to make the U-turn, to prevent a potential vehicle pursuit. Alfonso was taken in to custody without further incident. Alfonso also had an active felony warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle.
Alfonso was arrested and booked into Central Detention Center for grand theft auto, possession of stolen vehicle and his active felony warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle.
