In the event of a fire, plumbing accident, theft, vandalism, insuring your belongings is up to you– what would it cost to replace your furniture, electronics, clothes– everything that makes empty rooms into your home? Personal Property coverage can help pay to replace what’s damaged. You may also be financially responsible for parts of the building within your condo unit.  Depending on your condominium association’s master agreement, you may be responsible for all parts of the building inside the bare structural walls of your unit. Or the association could cover the original condition of the unit, so you’re responsible for upgrades only. Either way, Unit Owner’s Building Property coverage can provide coverage for the parts of your unit that you own.  Every Farmer’s Smart Plan Condo policy includes Personal Liability to defend yourself against claims, Additional Living  Expense that can help cover extra costs while your home is uninhabitable after loss. Optional coverage includes Sewer and Drain Water Damage for covered drain back-up and Home Rental coverage if you rent your unit to others.
