GRAND TERRACE>> The City of Grand Terrace recently announced that a low-cost rabies vaccination clinic for dogs and cats will be held at Grand Terrace City Hall on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The cost of the rabies vaccination is $10 and residents may also purchase AVID microchips at a price of $20, and have the chip installed during the vaccination clinic.
All 2016 license renewals are automatically extended to Nov. 1, 2016, without late fees to allow residents the opportunity to participate in the rabies vaccination clinic.
“We feel that it’s important to give pet owners the opportunity to participate in the vaccination clinic and to extend the renewal date so that pets can be vaccinated during the clinic,” said City Manager G. Harold Duffey. “We appreciate the cooperation our residents have shown as we bring licensing back to Grand Terrace.”
City staff will be on hand during the clinic so that residents may also renew their 2016 licenses or apply for new licenses. The city recommends that residents bring their renewal notices to facilitate licensing.
