Honoring the Tibbels Family

The Grand Terrace community recently came together for a truly honorable and beautiful flag-raising ceremony, marking the completion of a touching effort to support the Tibbels family. Thanks to the generosity of residents and local businesses, the family now has a new flagpole and replacement flags, raised in a moving tribute to their beloved family member who passed.

The new flagpole was successfully installed, and the local Boy Scouts troop 40 and Cub Scouts put on an inspiring ceremony to raise the flags once again. This emotional event drew members of the community, neighbors and friends, as well as local media, including ABC 7 Eyewitness News. (The original event coverage was scheduled to air on Friday, 10/10, at 6 PM).

The outpouring of support allowed this small-town vibe to shine through. The project was the vision of people like Ron & Daryl Bowler , father and son, Christy McGuire at Get Loaded Guns & Ammo a proud scout sponsor and Grand Terrace Business , The scouts , Shad Boal, and the homeowner Cindy and her daughter Lisa Tibbels. The Tibbels family extends a heartfelt "thank you" to everyone.

The community ensured the effort was comprehensive, pushing for the homeowner's late husband to be added to the Grand Terrace Veterans Memorial Wall (Veterans Wall Of Freedom)—a special addition that will also be happening.

Gratitude for Generous Donors

Every contribution, with donations as little as $5, made a significant difference. A special thank you goes out to the local businesses who didn't hesitate to show their love and support:

 * Get Loaded Guns and Ammo

 * Radical Pressure Washing LLC

 * Boal Electric

 * Habu Ewing and Phoenix Rising Martial Arts Academy

 * Kona Ice of Moreno Valley

 * Firestick TV Service

 * Fiesta Village Family Fun Park

Location of the New Flags

Be sure to drive by and see the flags flying high! They are a monument to community spirit. Driving North on Mt. Vernon, the flags are on your right, about a block North of the CVS.

This entire project is a powerful testament to what the Grand Terrace community can achieve when it comes together to support a friend and resident in need. A big shout-out and thank you again to our wonderful Scouts and all those involved!
