San Bernardino Valley College Men’s Soccer freshman defender Leonardo Souza (Colégio São Luís, Brazil) has signed his letter of intent with Oklahoma Wesleyan University. Souza helped anchor a defense that led to five shutouts throughout the season. Souza started 10 games for SBVC and scored three goals, two against College of the Desert, one at Palm Desert and the other at home and his third at Victor Valley. Under the tutelage of ninth-year coach Josh Brown, SBVC Men's Soccer ended the 2014 regular season having won seven games. Coach Brown had six players named to the All-Conference team, finishing the season with an overall record of 7-8-5 and a 3-2-3 Foothill Conference record. Oklahoma Wesleyan University is located in Bartlesville, Okla., which is about 40 miles north of Tulsa and about 20 miles south of the Kansas-Oklahoma state line. The Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles play at Eagles Field, and the team is coached by four-year veteran coach Jamie Peterson. In the 2014 season, the Eagles went 4-1 in conference play, with an overall record of 14-5-2. The Eagles lost in the opening round of the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship. OWU is in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference of NAIA.
