The Colton Joint Unified School District will hold a series of community forums to share information and gather input regarding its Local Control Accountability Plan. Recent legislation passed by the State of California has dramatically changed how school districts are funded. Each school district is now required to complete a Local Control and Accountability Plan to demonstrate how it intends to direct its funds toward increasing student achievement. The meetings will include information about the process for developing CJUSD’s Local Control and Accountability Plan and a chance for parents, teachers, staff and community to offer input. They will be held: In Bloomington, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11 in the Bloomington High School cafeteria at 10750 Laurel Avenue. In Grand Terrace, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18 in the Grand Terrace High School Lecture Hall at 21810 Main Street. In Colton, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 20 at Colton High School’s Whitmer Auditorium at 777 West Valley Blvd.
