COLTON REDLANDS YUCAIPA ROP ANNUAL GRADUATION EVENT

Redlands, CA.--The Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa Regional Occupational Program (CRY-ROP) conducted its annual graduation for their adult students on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. at the Redlands High School’s, Clock Auditorium, Redlands CA. Approximately 35 program graduates, 17 High School Equivalency achievers and their families, the Governing Board, instructors and staff members gathered to acknowledge and celebrate the completion of career training programs in various medical fields as well as those participants who have earned their High School Equivalency during the 2015-2016 academic year. Speakers included Patty Holohan, Vice President of the CRY-ROP board, Clifton Washington, High School Equivalency Achiever and Stephanie Houston, CRY-ROP Superintendent. “The ceremony was an opportunity for students to receive recognition for their accomplishments. The Vocational Nursing and Nursing Assistants graduates will be very marketable in our local community. As for the students who have earned their High School Equivalency, they are ready to make new goals and to continue striving towards goals already set. New doors will be open for all the graduates” said Sandy Mortensen, Director of Student Services at the ROP Main Campus. “Graduates will be prepared to begin new careers or have enhanced their skills to improve opportunities in the workforce.” CRY-ROP serves over 7,000 students annually in the Colton, Redlands, and Yucaipa regions. Career Technical Education programs are offered to adult students on the main campus located in Redlands and provides classes for high school students on the high school campuses in the three partner districts. CRY-ROP’s adult campus predominantly offers classes in the medical fields including Vocational Nursing, Nursing Assistant, as well they are an approved testing center for the HiSET and GED high school equivalency exams.
