Crafton Hills College Celebrates 83rd Fire Academy Class

Crafton Hills College (CHC) graduated its 83rd Fire Academy Class on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015 at 6 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. The 24 83rd Fire Academy graduates are: Jesse Aramburo (Riverside), Tanner Baker (Beaumont), Oscar Bautista Moreno (Cedar Glen), Robert Camarena (Yucaipa), Joseph Camarillo (Corona), Nick Carlson (Redands), Zachary Cruz (San Bernardino), Kyle Darby (Highland), Marcus Davis (Grand Terrace), Jason Duran (Colton), Jovan Fierro (Highland), Ismael Gonzalez (Colton), Joseph Ico (Redlands), Trevon Morales (San Bernardino), Bryan Morgan (Ontario), Vincent Piccoli (Riverside), Gaurav Singh (Lake Forest), Jacob Sokolowski (Montclair), Terrence Stone (Rialto), Anthony Vasquez (Ontario), Nicholas Vega (Fontana), Chad Whinery (Rancho Cucamonga), and Ryan Wood (Rancho Cucamonga). Senator Mike Morrell (R-23rd District) and Supervisor James Ramos attended the special event and extended their congratulations to the graduates. The objective of this certificate is to develop the skills required for Firefighter I Certification and to develop teamwork, attitudes and public service commitment. The Firefighter I Basic Training Academy is approved by the California State Fire Marshal's Office as an accredited Regional Training Center. In conjunction with CAL FIRE, these graduates also earned a CAL FIRE Basic Wildland Fire Fighting Certification.
