Voice of the People: YOU’RE NOT ALONE

No on Measure ‘C’ Proponents: you’re not alone. Get out and vote on November 5th Our ‘No’ Group is not illegal! The mayor and his sidekick councilman has been lying about our group. He has abused his position and has city employees taking down our signs. Others have been stealing our signs and flyers, saying it is because we are illegal. This is not the truth! Just like the other lies that are being told: 1) if you don’t vote for this measure GT will disincorporate, 2) and we will close the parks, 3) and we will close the senior center, 4) and GT won’t be safe anymore. They are lying about the needs of the city. According to their own GT budget we receive almost $12 million with only 12,500 residents. Why can’t they budget this money better? They have chosen to close the parks and senior center and they can make better choices when it comes to budgeting. We can leave the parks and senior center open and keep our sheriffs at a better rate if we had better representation and better negotiators. Our signs have been taken down by the City and stolen in the middle of the night by well-meaning do-gooders that have been told we are illegal. But the fact is they are the ones breaking the law by stealing personal property, and even defacing them. There are more of us than they want people to believe. Many people and businesses feel there may be retaliation from the city but they will be voting no. Don’t let them shove this down our throat. Don’t fall for the intimidation that appears through the yard signs up saying yes. You have a voice—let it be heard on November 5th.
