On Oct. 30 Terrace View Elementary School hosted their first fall festival. Yvette Kecskez, PTA member said, “All the funds made from the festival all go back to the teachers and the classrooms.” With a Halloween theme, students, parents, and teachers were dressed in their most creative costumes. Three-year-olds Kendall Elliot-Bolger and Jayenne Cook, along with their moms Erin Elliot and Nikki Cook, were dressed up for the evening festivities. Elliot said, “This is probably our fourth Halloween event we have gone to so the girls have had lots of costumes.” The festival was not only a place for students to show off their costumes, but also play games and eat snacks the different booths provided. There was even a bounce house and slide. Kecskez said, “All the booths are run by the classrooms and teachers so each classroom has their own game or snack booth.” Some booths included the spooky fishing game where students fished for mini pumpkins in a jug of water. The Spooky Fishing booth was ran by moms Melisa Alemar and Michele Baird, from Ms. Heusterberg’s kindergarten class.
