On Wed April 30th a storm came through the Inland Empire with some very strong winds. The winds were so strong that they toppled over a tree and tree house in the backyard of a local Grand Terrace residence. Karolyn Walker left for her doctor’s appointment that morning with her backyard intact and came home to find both the tree house and tree on the ground. She has lived in the same house for seven years and the tree house came with the home. She said her son was there when it happened and he shared that it sounded like loud creaking and the tree was swaying back and forth before it toppled over. Walker said her son and her husband are in the process of cutting off the limbs of the tree, and shared, “I’m thankful that it didn’t fall on the house or with the kids near it and thankful to God, no one was hurt.”
