Sacred Heart Academy (SHA) in Redlands is participating in the Inland Center Mall’s School Cents Program. Each year 20 local schools get selected to participate in the program and for the first time, SHA has been selected. The School Cents Program is a fun and easy fundraiser. Each participating school competes for points, that in turn, helps the school earn from $250-$2000. Points are granted through dollar values of original receipts from any vendor at the Inland Center Mall (located in San Bernardino). Schools earn at least 10 points per dollar spent. Whenever family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers shop at the Inland Center Mall they simply take their receipts to Guest Services, located in front of Macy’s, and request that their points be applied to SHA. Receipt points are logged, the receipt is stamped, and then immediately given back; it’s that easy! All receipts, including food and beverage, from the Inland Center Mall count. Customers can even e-mail their receipt if it was electronically sent to them. Guest Services sells various gift cards for restaurants, retail stores, entertainment venues, and transportation. The value of these gift cards (with no purchase fees applied) can be applied to SHA. Guest Services also sells Visa Gift Cards that can be used anywhere in the U.S. Visa debit cards are accepted. Whenever a Visa Gift Card is purchased, the point value of the card ($20-$500) is applied and 1000 points are also earned. There is a $3.95 purchase fee for Visa Cards. The program runs until May 31, 2016. Throughout the year there will be various opportunities to earn “bonus points”. By visiting shoppingpartnership.com/inland, customers can register for email reminders, School Cents bonus points offers and find out about special events at the mall. For the month of October triple bonus points can be earned at select clothing and shoe stores. In addition, Molina Healthcare, a School Cents sponsor, is also helping schools earn Bonus Points. Shoppers stop by Guest Services, mention Molina Healthcare, and SHA can earn 250 bonus points per person. All patrons of the mall, including students, can earn these 250 bonus points! SHA is Catholic school located in South Redlands. It currently has an enrollment of 283 students in grades Pre-School-8th grade. The school relies on the support of families to fund many of the programs students participate in. SHA parent and School Cents Program Coordinator Maya Garcia Bacon is very excited Sacred Heart Academy is participating in the program. “This is a great way to combine two things I love; supporting my children’s school and shopping! I hope many people take advantage of the School Cents Fundraiser!”
