Jacob Rivera of Colton High School and Robert Castillo of Grand Terrace High School represented American Legion Colton Post #155 at this year's Boys State event. It was held June 20 to June 27 at California State University in Sacramento. This program is sponsored by the American Legion to promote citizenship and to understand the structure and knowledge of how our government works. One delegate is selected from each high school. Candidates were recommended by the junior class counselor for the interview process. Six intelligent young men were interviewed at each school by Bob Lavin, Boys State Chairman at Post #155. Jacob Rivera and Robert Castillo will be presented with their participation certificate at the Oct. 14 meeting.
