If you're looking for continental fare and exceptional hospitality, exquisitely-crafted modern European cuisine and customer-oriented service is what you'll find at Sima's in Colton. Celebrating its 22nd anniversary this year, the restaurant, family-owned and operated by Alfred Breining and his wife Sima, has created and sustained a reputation for itself of serving some of the best European cuisine in the local area. Still in its original location at 801 N. La Cadena Dr. in Colton since its opening in 1993, the restaurant specializes in German and other international foods, offering a menu selection as varied as it is delicious. Here hungry customers can satisfy every craving from savory to sweet, and may choose from selections including schnitzel, sauerbraten, chicken breast and more, including sweet desserts like crème brulee. There's even German beer. Chef Alfred studied culinary arts in Germany and has been licensed to train and teach other chefs the art of preparing German food. He has been doing so since 1975. This specialty, along with the award-winning restaurant's cozy mom-and-pop atmosphere, have worked together to earn the restaurant a solid 4.5-star Yelp rating amongst patrons both local or not. The restaurant makes all food fresh to order, and also provides catering services and restaurant space for private parties. Sima's is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. Celebrate 22 years with Alfred and Sima Breining and find their coupon in the Grand Terrace City News.
