Bill Hussey Seeks Election to City Council

My name is Bill Hussey, and I am committed in the effort of maintaining Grand Terrace as a model city within the Inland Empire. I recognize the challenge of bringing fresh ideas to the City of Grand Terrace while continuing to preserve the quality of life we have come to appreciate in this bedroom community. I am confident I can provide an innovative and sincere perspective to this council, and am a proponent of utilizing our city's attributes to fully attract new businesses and revenue for our city. In turn, I believe this revenue can be used to serve our community by revitalizing our parks and investing in new ones, improving our roads and infrastructure, and providing quality services to our residents, youth, and seniors. I also feel strongly that public safety is a top priority. As a councilmember, I will support and increase our law enforcement presence to enhance security and safety at the highest possible level of service needed to ensure our community remains safe and peaceful. I am a working-class citizen who has called Grand Terrace my home for the past 25 years. I proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1982 to 1991, and for the past 22 years have been employed as a federal law enforcement officer with the Bureau of Federal Prisons. I am married and have two sons, both of whom are enrolled in college. In the past I volunteered as a coach for both the youth baseball and soccer organizations within the City of Grand Terrace for 10 years. In addition, I was a member of the CJUSD oversight committee for six years, for Bonds B and G, as well as a subcommittee member for the annual finance audit for the bonds funds and have sat as a committee member for the Grand Terrace Ad-Hoc budget advisory committee. My political endeavors are motivated by my sincere love for, and commitment to, this community.
