Alyssia Pelayo a 17-year-old high school senior currently attending her 12th-grade year at Grand Terrace High School (GTHS), with an impressive Grade Point Average of 4.6.

From the court to the classroom, Alyssia isn't just a scholar; she's also a sports enthusiast. She proudly serves as the captain of the Varsity girls' Volleyball team, showcasing her incredible talent and leadership skills on and off the court. Her journey in the world of sports began at the age of 13, and it has been nothing short of remarkable ever since.

When Alyssia isn't spiking balls on the volleyball court, she finds time to indulge in her other passions. Staying active through workouts and dedicating herself to her role in the Associated Student Body (ASB) at GTHS, Alyssia's schedule is undoubtedly demanding, but she takes it all in stride.

Alyssia's hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed. She has received the first-team all-league award for volleyball over the last two years, a testament to her outstanding skills and contributions to her team. Her commitment to academics is equally commendable, having received academic letters and consecutively making the Principal's Honor Roll throughout her entire high school journey.

When asked about her motivation, Alyssia cites her family and coaches as the driving force behind her success. Their unwavering support and guidance have propelled her to reach the heights she has achieved today.

As Alyssia approaches the end of her high school journey, she has her sights set on a bright future. She aspires to attend college and continue playing volleyball at a higher level, showcasing her determination to excel both athletically and academically.

Alyssia's journey has been shaped by the wisdom encapsulated in a quote she holds dear: "Hard work outweighs talent, every time," as famously stated by the legendary Kobe Bryant. These words have served as a source of inspiration and a constant reminder that success is attainable through dedication and perseverance.

Senior Legacy Committee has joined forces with Titan Mom Elvira to reward Alyssia Pelayo with a certificate of Acknowledgment & gift card for her recognition.
