On Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 4:00 P.M., under the talented direction of Dr. Viorel Gheorghe, the Moreno Valley Master Chorale and Orchestra will present “An Eastertide Celebration.” This concert will feature exciting works by a wide variety of composers. These include Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s, Ave Verum Corpus; Franz Schubert’s, German Mass; Gabriel Faure’s, Cantique de Jean Racine; Stephen Adam’s, The Holy City; and the beautiful Lamb of God, by Twila Paris. Numbers from George F. Handel’s Easter portion of the Messiah will also be performed. Soloists for this concert will be the world-renowned lyric soprano singer, Camelia Voin, and Stephanie Steele, mezzo soprano. Concert attendees are in for a special treat when Camelia sings, Let the Bright Seraphim from Handel’s Samson Oratorio. In addition, Stephanie will be singing two beautiful inspirational songs, Via Dolorosa by Sprague-Borop and Whole Again by Sally DeFord. The concert will be held at the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, located at 11650 Perris Boulevard, Moreno Valley, CA 92557. Tickets (cash only) may be purchased at the door.
