A 27-year-old Grand Terrace woman was arrested June 11 and accused of conspiracy, shoplifting and having an outstanding warrant for her arrest. Crystal Bahamon, a resident of Grand Terrace, was taken into custody at her home on June 11 by deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department and officers from the county probation department without incident, a release from county sheriff's states. Bahamon was allegedly one of two women who entered the Walgreens located in the shopping center at the corner of Mt. Vernon Avenue and Barton Road back in early February and stole several items from the store, according to deputies. Bahamon and the other female allegedly left the Walgreens in a silver Volkswagen Jetta and Bahamon was identified through the store's surveillance system. Deputies said in the release that further investigation showed Bahamon had an outstanding warrant for her arrest connected to a separate theft case. She was also apparently on active felony probation for theft. During the arrest incident on June 11, a Danny Diaz was also contacted at Bahamon's residence and found to be wanted by the county probation department for an oustanding warrant, according to deputies. Both Bahamon and Diaz were booked at the Central Detention Center. Booking logs show Bahamon, at time of press, was still in custody on charges of conspiracy to commit a crime, shoplifting, theft and failure to appear in lieu of $80,000 bail.
