In Loving Memory Of...Bruce Alan Van Voorhis

Bruce Alan Van Voorish passed away on March 2, 2015, peacefully at his home in Colton, surrounded by his loving wife and caregivers. He was 59. Bruce leaves behind his father, Dr. D. L. Van Voorhis, his brothers, Ted and Ron Van Voorhis, and sisters Gayle Gibbons and Melissa Kinsey. His mother Margaret passed away in 2008. Bruce and his wife Susan met in junior high and have been married 33 years. Bruce played the drums while attending Pacific High School and continued playing while attending Valley College, San Bernardino. He spent many years as a landscaper in Orange County where he and Susan lived for several years until they decided to move back to the area. Bruce also spent many years reading and studying the Bible in English and Greek and became a reference for others. the last several years he worked on the family ranch and enjoyed financial investing. Private services will be held Saturday. Public viewing will be Friday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Colton Funeral Home, 1275 N. La Cadena Dr. Colton, CA 92324.
