On Sept. 12, the second annual event sponsored by the GTHS Football Boosters brought out 42 local veterans to be recognized before the start of the Varsity game against Chaffey. When asked about the second annual event and what it means to have it, Jeanette Valadez, President of the GTHS Football Boosters said, "It is amazing that we are able to honor the men and women who served and serve our great country that are here locally. We also wanted to recognize two 2014 graduates, who enlisted into the military." Cameron Alvarez (US Coast Guard) and Rudy Montano Jr. (USMC) were both represented by family members. It was a very eventful ceremony which included handshakes to each and every veteran from both teams and the colors presented by Cub Scout Pack 242.
