San Bernardino County Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector Larry Walker announces that effective Sept. 28, the Treasurer and Tax Collector Divisions of his department will be moving their office less than four miles away to a new location at 268 West Hospitality Lane. The office’s main public phone, 909-387-8307, will remain the same. Mr. Walker stated, “This move underscores our commitment to taxpayers, and is consistent with the County’s goals to improve County government operations and operate in a fiscally-responsible and business-like manner.” The relocation will improve County government operational efficiencies by co-locating services from multiple locations throughout San Bernardino, and provides improved public access and management oversight for the necessary services provided by the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector’s Office. This move is the first phase of a three phase departmental consolidation project. The second phase will include the move of the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector’s Central Collections’ Division, and the third and final phase will include the move of the Auditor, Controller, and Disbursements Divisions. Customers can expect a seamless transition with no interruption to service while the moves take place.
