Located in the city of Colton, Empire Office Machines offers its customers services and supplies for all their office equipment and machine needs.

With the great deal of services that they have to offer, Empire Office Machines also has a long history of providing the Inland Empire with quality customer service and friendly faces.

“We started the business in 1992,” shared owner of Empire Office Machines, Leo W. Loret, Jr.  “We took over the service department from an old company that was in this area, called Stockwell & Binney. Mostly then, we were servicing typewriters and very few printers, some cash registers, and laminating equipment. Typewriters kind of got phased out and we worked more on printers and copiers at that point, but we still work on typewriters today. There are not many, but there’s still a few out there.”

Loret continued, “I worked for Stockwell and Benny for about 15 years and they had about 20 stores in the area and had service departments in a lot of them. The company had to close down but it still had a service obligation, so we took over their service department and kept the services going.”

Having been in the City of Colton for a decade now, the company maintains the equipment needs for some of the city’s large corporations. “We started in San Bernardino, but moved to Colton about 10 years ago,” shared Loret. “We go to schools, hospitals, doctors, and grocery store chains. We supply them with the toner and ink for their printers and do printer repairs.”

Empire Office Machines provides service and supplies for most major brands of printers, copiers, fax machines, paper shredders, electronic typewriters, folding machines, laminators, flat-screen TVs, gaming consoles, and more.

Loret shared his experience in working with office machinery and supplies, “this is the only thing I have ever done. I started in high school, and I’ve always liked to fix things.”

When asked about how the company keeps up with the constant changes in equipment in their field, Loret responded confidently, “To keep up with the technology, we do training. As new stuff comes up, we do attend training courses to keep pace with the changes.”

Running a small operation the team at Empire Office Machines works diligently and efficiently to take care of all their customer needs, “There are five of us here in the office,” said Loret. “And we have a warehouse located on Cooley Drive dedicated to all our online shipping.”

“One of the reasons I decided to come here is because my grandmother used to have them service their machines and said it was a great place,” said Brandon Bernard, technician. “And she wasn’t lying! We want to give people service here that we don’t get when we go to places.”

“We are here to serve the community,” said Lawanna Holland, customer service representative. “A lot of people have seen our sign but don’t really know that we supply toner and repair printers and we just want to take care of their needs.”

“It’s a great place to work!” expressed Wendy Marquez, office manager. “I love Leo, he’s the best boss I’ve ever had.”

For reliable office equipment and service with a friendly face, the team at Empire Office Machines is here to help.
