Grand Terrace Healthcare Center held its first annual fall festival, a heartwarming and festive gathering for residents, staff, and their families. The event, orchestrated by Executive Director, Brian Haroldsen, and his team of department heads, not only celebrated the changing of the seasons but also served as a reminder and celebration of the remarkable dedication provided by the healthcare center's staff, showcasing their unity and unwavering commitment.

The festival's guest of honor was healthcare industry pioneer, Ted Holt, a former administrator at the facility 27 years ago. Mr. Holt graced the occasion with a few inspired words, emphasizing the crucial importance of compassionate care for residents and treating them as family.

Grand Terrace Healthcare Center received a prestigious accolade for the third consecutive year: no deficiencies noted during complaint visits by the California Department of Public Health. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the staff's dedication in providing care of the highest quality, resonating with the sentiment that every resident is part of the extended family.

The festival itself was a captivating spectacle, featuring a lively pumpkin patch, an enchanting petting zoo that included a friendly alpaca, ponies and horse rides, face painting, games, arts and crafts, real goldfish, a charming photo booth, and an array of culinary delights, including hot dogs on a stick, kettle corn and snow cones. The event came alive with live music and entertainment, leaving a lasting mark on all who attended.

Guests, including healthcare providers from the community, shared their enthusiasm for the day's festivities. Resident, Linda G., enthused, "The fall festival was a magnificent blend of pumpkins, hay, artistry, and delightful farm animals." Another resident, Bryan A., added, "Every aspect was exceptional, and the hospitality was reminiscent of home - warm, kind, and healing. Thank you, GT." This heartfelt celebration highlighted the bonds and unwavering dedication that make Grand Terrace Healthcare Center an exceptional and cherished community cornerstone.
