Angelou Flamenco, a 16 year old Junior at Grand Terrace High School, is a shining example of dedication both in the classroom and on the field. Maintaining an impressive 3.5 GPA while balancing a busy athletic schedule, Angelou continues to excel as a Titan.

Angelou has been passionate about sports since the age of 11. He played two years of Pee Wee football and reignited his football journey during his Sophomore year at GTHS. In addition to football, this year marked his first time competing in Track and Field, specializing in Shot Put. His hard work has already paid off, as he and his team advanced to the league finals, where he will compete on April 29, 2025.

On the football field, Angelou plays key roles for the Varsity team as a Defensive End and Tight End. Among his proudest accomplishments is being recognized with San Andreas All League honors for football. A testament to his hard work and athletic talent.

When he is not training or competing, Angelou enjoys working out and spending quality time with family and friends.

Reflecting on what motivates him, Angelou shared, "The biggest influence in my life has to be God, leading me and guiding me to where I am today and who I am. Another influence would be my older brother Adrian for setting the example of what to do and what not to do, and lastly, I would like to thank Coach Romo and Coach Longsworth for always teaching me and pushing me to be better."

Looking ahead, Angelou hopes to continue his athletic journey by playing college football at the Division 1 level while majoring in engineering. He also lives by the powerful quote: "Focus on the process, not the outcome."

We wish Angelou all the best as he continues to chase his dreams. His hard work, faith, and determination promise a bright future ahead. The best is yet to come for this outstanding Titan!
