At just 16 years old, Conner Burns has already established himself as an outstanding student athlete at Grand Terrace High School. A dedicated Junior with an impressive 4.0 GPA, Conner excels both in the classroom and on the baseball field, proving that hard work and determination can yield remarkable achievements.

Conner’s passion for baseball began at the age of four, and for the past 12 years, he has honed his skills to become a standout player. Currently holding the position of first baseman on the Varsity team, Conner has demonstrated exceptional talent, earning a spot on Varsity as a freshman. Though he once dabbled in basketball at age 10, his love for baseball ultimately took precedence, leading him to commit fully to the sport upon entering high school.

Beyond academics and athletics, Conner enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling to different states for baseball, and engaging in various sports for both fun and competition.

His leadership skills and dedication to the game earned him the title of Varsity Team Captain for two years. Among his many accomplishments, Conner is most proud of being named to the First Team All-League as a sophomore and playing a crucial role in securing the league championship for the 2023-2024 season.

Additionally, he has been recognized as a Scholar Athlete for both his Freshman and Sophomore years, receiving an Academic Letter and a spot on the Principal’s Honor Roll and ACES.

When asked about his biggest motivation, Conner credits his parents for their unwavering support and encouragement. “My parents are my biggest influence in life. They push me to be the best I can be, whether in life or on the baseball field. Every day, I wake up knowing I have the best parents who give me the confidence to do anything. They have shaped my journey by providing me with all the resources I need to compete at the highest level. I will forever be grateful for having my mom and dad in my life.”

Looking ahead, Conner plans to attend UC San Diego, where he hopes to continue playing baseball while pursuing a degree in Finance. His ultimate goal is to build a successful career in the business field and create a bright future for himself.

As a guiding principle, Conner lives by the words of Michael Jordan: “You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them.”

We congratulate Conner Burns on his accomplishments and wish him continued success in his academic and athletic journey. The best is yet to come for this Titan!
