Congratulations to Michael "Mike" DeFalco for being named Grand Terrace High School’s Athlete of the Week! Mike’s achievements and dedication in both academics and sports are truly commendable.

It is inspiring to see a young athlete like Mike maintaining a 3.3 GPA unweighted while excelling on the GTHS football field and pursuing a new sport in wrestling. His journey from playing soccer at the age of 5 years old for Grand Terrace Community Soccer Club to becoming a key player on the high school Varsity football team is impressive.

This year was Mike’s second year playing football with GTHS Varsity team and his first year as a starter as a middle linebacker recording well over 60 tackles! He has proven to be an amazing player and has earned the respect he deserves when he steps on to the field.

Mike’s motivation, inspired by his father’s love for his athletic pursuits, is a powerful driving force. It’s clear that he’s determined to honor his father’s memory and make the most of the opportunities presented to him.

His aspiration to attend college and continue playing football at the next level is an ambitious and worthwhile goal, and his quote, “You can do anything you put your mind to,” reflects his positive mindset and determination.

We wish Mike all the best in his future endeavors, both in sports and academics. The recognition and rewards he’s receiving from TME Photography are well-deserved, and it’s evident that the best is yet to come for this young athlete.
