Santiago De Los Santos is a standout Senior at Grand Terrace High School, excelling both academically and athletically. With an impressive 3.6 GPA (4.2 weighted), Santiago has managed to balance a demanding schedule while remaining committed to success in the classroom and in every sport he pursues.

Santiago has been involved in athletics since childhood, developing a passion for competition and discipline at a young age. One of his favorite memories is competing at the Cross Country CIF meet during his Junior year which was an experience that taught him a valuable lesson he carries with him today: hard work will always beat talent.

A true multi-sport athlete, Santiago competes in Cross Country, plays goalkeeper for the GTHS Soccer team, and runs the 1600 and 3200 in Track and Field. Even with such a busy athletic slate, he finds time to enjoy hanging out with his friends and playing video games.

Santiago’s achievements are remarkable. He earned an outstanding 1460 on his SAT, set a new personal record in his final race, and finished his high school running career as the 6th fastest runner in Grand Terrace High School history.

When asked what motivates him, Santiago didn’t hesitate: “My parents, because they make me the best version of myself.”

Looking ahead, his goals are clear and ambitious. Santiago plans to attend a university, compete at the Division I level in soccer, and ultimately pursue his dream of becoming a professional soccer player.

He shares a quote that inspires him: “It’s never over till it’s over.”

We wish Santiago all the best in his future endeavors. With his determination, talent, and work ethic, the best is truly yet to come.
