Inland Empire Welcomes Halloween Season With Haunted Attractions, Pumpkin Patches and Family Fun

The Inland Empire is preparing for a Halloween season filled with haunted attractions, pumpkin patches, costume celebrations and activities designed for visitors of all ages.

In Riverside, Castle Park’s annual Castle Dark celebration will return with an expanded lineup of nighttime entertainment. The 2026 event features two new haunted mazes, the return of a popular past attraction, themed entertainment and seasonal treats. Families looking for a less frightening experience can also visit the park’s daytime Día de los Muertos celebration, which includes performances, face painting and trick-or-treating on select dates.

Redlands will once again become a popular destination for fall outings. Live Oak Canyon Pumpkin Patch offers a working-farm setting where families can select pumpkins, enjoy seasonal attractions and take part in harvest activities. The farm’s U-pick pumpkin fields and tractor hayrides operate during daylight hours, while other attractions continue into the evening on selected dates. Visitors are encouraged to check the farm’s calendar and admission information before traveling because operating hours and prices may vary by day.

Greenspot Farms in Mentone is scheduled to open its pumpkin patch and Halloween activities on October 1. The farm traditionally offers pumpkins, family attractions and seasonal experiences, along with evening events such as its haunted hayride. Regular farm hours are listed as 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., although special nighttime events may have different schedules.

For visitors seeking a more intense experience, Wraith House in the Lake Arrowhead area is advertising its Halloween haunt for October 22–24 and October 29–31. The attraction is promoted as a frightening experience and may be better suited to teenagers and adults than younger children.

A sensory-conscious option will also be available at the Riverside County Fairgrounds. The Spooktacular Fun Safety Fair, presented by the Autism Society Inland Empire, is scheduled for October 18. The free, family-friendly event is designed for members of the autism and intellectual and developmental disability community. Activities will include Halloween fun, community resources, interactive experiences and opportunities to meet local first responders.

Additional celebrations are planned throughout the region, including Calico Ghost Haunt, Apple Valley Halloween Spooktacular, Rancho Cucamonga Spooktacular, Upland Scary-A-Faire, Temecula Halloween Carnival, Chino Halloween Spooktacular and Rialto Halloween Hi-Jinks. Moreno Valley is also preparing a Día de los Muertos celebration, while San Bernardino will welcome the large Escape Halloween music festival. Local cities may announce additional trunk-or-treat events, library programs and community festivals as October approaches.

Families attending Halloween events should review costume and prop restrictions, purchase tickets in advance when required and confirm schedules directly with organizers. Parents should also consider the recommended age level of haunted attractions before bringing young children.

With options ranging from peaceful pumpkin-patch visits to elaborate haunted mazes, the Inland Empire’s 2026 Halloween season offers plenty of opportunities for residents to celebrate close to home.
