Remember the good old days of grabbing a new Goosebumps book, flipping through the pages, and getting that spine-tingling thrill? Well, fans of the legendary author R.L. Stine got to relive those moments and more at the Creep It Real OC festival this past Sunday, September 12- 14, at the Heritage Museum of Orange County.

The day kicked off with a popular panel discussion titled "Open Book with R.L. Stine: A Career Discussion With The Legendary Author." Moderated by Jeff DePaoli from That Halloween Podcast, the session was a major draw, with fans eagerly gathering to hear Stine share insights from his prolific career. From his start as an editor to becoming the master of middle-grade horror, Stine captivated the audience with stories and wisdom, making the panel a must-see for anyone who grew up reading his books.

Getting Your Goosebumps Signed

For many, the main event was the exclusive autograph session. A limited number of tickets were sold for the chance to meet Stine and get a personal copy of a Goosebumps book signed. The tickets sold out in a flash, proving just how dedicated and excited his fan base is. Attendees with autograph tickets also got a special Goosebumps-themed photo op with the author, creating a perfect keepsake to remember the day.

Spooky Fun for All

The R.L. Stine event was part of the larger Creep It Real OC festival, a three-day celebration of all things spooky. The entire festival was a massive success, with organizers calling it one of their most fun events ever. The atmosphere was electric and full of Halloween spirit, thanks to a variety of vendors, live music, and activities. The Heritage Museum of Orange County, with its historic Kellogg House temporarily transformed into the "House of Creepy Corridors," was the perfect eerie backdrop for the spooky festivities.

The entire event felt like a nostalgic trip back in time, reminding everyone why R.L. Stine and his books continue to be a beloved part of so many childhoods.
