Tucked beside the Grand Terrace Senior Center, Susan Petta Park stands as a beautiful and lasting tribute to a woman whose love for her community knew no bounds. Created and dedicated by Susan Petta and the Petta family, this park is more than just a green space—it is a testament to the deep connection, generosity, and spirit of service that the Petta family embodied for generations.

Walking through Susan Petta Park, visitors can feel the warmth and dedication that went into its creation. The park is adorned with lush floral arrangements, citrus trees, and fragrant lavender and lemongrass, filling the air with a sense of peace and belonging. A highlight of the park is its vegetable garden, specially designed for seniors, providing a place for them to nurture and harvest fresh produce while fostering a sense of community and purpose.

Throughout the park, placards honor community members, donors, and the town’s most beloved legends and founders, Ann, Toni and Susan Petta. This family, known for their unwavering dedication to Grand Terrace, left a lasting mark on the city through their leadership, generosity, and community spirit. Their legacy continues to inspire, reminding residents of the values that make Grand Terrace such a special place.

As visitors stroll through the park, they are not just enjoying a beautiful landscape; they are walking through a living tribute to the Petta family’s legacy. The park serves as a reminder of the love and devotion that the Petta family poured into the community, encouraging future generations to lead with kindness, dedication, and a deep-rooted commitment to Grand Terrace.

May Ann, Toni and Susan Petta rest in peace as their memory lives on in this cherished community landmark. And may the people of Grand Terrace continue to gather, reflect, and celebrate the spirit of unity and generosity that this remarkable family so beautifully exemplified.
