GRAND TERRACE>> For 24 years, the Mission Inn Hotel and Spa has put on the Festival of Lights and it has easily become one of the great indicators that the Christmas season is upon us. That is why Blue Mountain Silver Liner has offered two opportunities for seniors to take an excursion trip to the Festival of Lights. Seniors are invited to attend the Festival of Lights Tuesday, Dec. 13. Pick-up will be from 5-6 p.m. for curbside pickup upon request, and 6 p.m. at the Grand Terrace Senior Center The first excursion trip was on Tuesday, Nov. 29 and seniors had the opportunity to enjoy the lights. This Southern California tradition, recently named the “Best Pubic Lights Display in the Nation” by USA Today, attracts more than 250,000 visitors from all over each year. The Festival of lights also includes a gingerbread theme throughout the hotel, horse-drawn carriages, holiday treats and more than 400 animated figures spread around the Mission Inn. The Blue Mountain Silver Line is a program aimed to help residents with their transportation needs throughout the city. To reserve a ride for the Dec. 13 trip, call 909-961-8982.
