On March 1, 2025, the Grand Terrace community came together for the annual Blue Mountain Hike, and it was nothing short of spectacular. With hundreds of hikers of all ages and skill levels, the event showcased the town’s unbreakable spirit, love for the outdoors, and deep sense of togetherness.

As the sun rose over Grand Terrace, excitement filled the air. Hikers gathered at the base of Blue Mountain, ready to take on the challenge of reaching the summit. From young children to longtime residents, everyone was united by a shared goal—to make the climb together. Mayor, City Council members, and local leaders didn’t just show up; they actively joined the hike, walking alongside residents, proving that leadership in Grand Terrace means being part of the community in every way.

Throughout the hike, the support of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Cal Fire, and local troops ensured a safe and well-guided journey. Along the way, laughter, words of encouragement, and determination echoed through the trails. Strangers became friends as they cheered each other on, offering a helping hand on steeper paths and taking breaks together to enjoy the natural beauty surrounding them.

Reaching the summit was an achievement like no other. As hikers made their way to the top, they were rewarded with some of the most breathtaking panoramic views the Inland Empire has to offer. The vast expanse of rolling hills, city skylines, and endless blue skies was a sight to behold. With a gentle breeze cooling their faces and the sun casting a golden glow over the landscape, hikers took in the beauty of Grand Terrace from a whole new perspective.

Adding to the excitement, the Titan Pep Squad greeted every finisher with medals, celebrating their perseverance and dedication. The energy at the top was electric—cheers, high-fives, and group photos captured the incredible moment. Families posed together, first-time hikers beamed with pride, and seasoned climbers reflected on yet another successful journey up Grand Terrace’s beloved mountain.

As hikers made their way back down, the sense of accomplishment was undeniable. The joy, connection, and shared triumph of conquering Blue Mountain created memories that will last a lifetime. Whether it was someone’s first hike or their tenth, the experience was a reminder of what makes Grand Terrace truly special—a community that lifts each other up, both figuratively and literally.

With such an incredible turnout and an unforgettable experience, excitement is already building for next year’s hike. The annual Blue Mountain tradition is more than just a climb—it’s a celebration of community, nature, and the enduring spirit of Grand Terrace.

See you at the top in 2026!
