Eric and Priscilla Santillan, husband and wife operators of the Grand Terrace Grocery Outlet are no strangers to giving back to the community, but this year they joined in partnership with City News Group and their program designed to support small businesses and citizens of the city.

Grand Terrace Grocery Outlet was one of the many small businesses in the Inland Empire to partner with City News Group and participate in a Click and Win sweepstakes program, which was uniquely crafted to combat COVID-19 small business closures and bring some fun to residents in these difficult times.

“There are a lot of people that are unfortunately in need,” Eric Santillan, owner of Grand Terrace Grocery Outlet said in a previous interview.  “Probably more than we even know. We just want to make sure that we do our part to give back.”

Eric and Priscilla particularly take pride in being independent owner-operators because it allows them the opportunity to not only participate in but also give back to the community.

“We love that we have the freedom to provide the support that the community needs and to engage with our local partners,” Eric and Priscilla said after joining the Click and Win sweepstakes program.

The owners of the Grand Terrace Grocery Outlet throughout the year joined with local partners and charities and donated to local food pantries, the local assisted living home residence, local churches and many others. The pair also partnered with City News Group and the Click and Win sweepstakes program, which had the goal to help support local businesses during the COVID pandemic.

With the partnership of Grand Terrace Grocery Outlet and other local businesses, the program was able to giveaway nearly 100 prizes to local residents throughout the year and a $1,000 grand prize on December 3rd.

The local residents that won Grocery Outlet gift cards were especially grateful and excited to win as they love the Grand Terrace grocery store’s selection of products and bargain prices. Many of the winners were also just happy and thrilled that they had the opportunity to win prizes from their local businesses during this pandemic.

Grand Terrace Grocery Outlet owners were not only able to bring some light and joy to local residents through the program but also contributed to the #ShopLocal movement during the COVID pandemic. By partnering, they were able to get the word out to residents that they were still open, that they are taking new safety precautions to keep everyone safe and say thank you to the community by giving back.
