A Shiny New Ride for Seniors in Grand Terrace

GRAND TERRACE >> The first day of service for the Grand Terrace Silver Liner was May 17. The Silver Liner will provides transportation to the Grand Terrace Senior Center from any location in Grand Terrace. The Senior Center offers a wide variety of activities for seniors each day including a nutrition programs and lunch. Donations for the lunch are three dollars for those over 60 years of age and five dollars for those under 60. Donations are 50 cents. Pickup begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 11:30 a.m. Drop off occurs between 1:30 and 3 p.m. Reservations need to be made the day before. Dial (909) 961-8982 The Grand Terrace City Council approved funding for the Grand Terrace Senior Transportation Program in October of 2015 and believes that the service will help increase participation at the Senior Center. The council also approved a lease agreement with Valley Transportation Service to make this transportation service a reality for Grand Terrace residents.
