Michelle Sabino has long admired the small-town feel and close-knit community that embodies Grand Terrace. After moving to the city, it became apparent that Grand Terrace’s prosperity was largely due to its residents’ commitment to volunteering and supporting local organizations. With years of nonprofit experience, Michelle sought opportunities to help maintain Grand Terrace’s reputation as one of the safest cities in the Inland Empire—a beacon on a hill where families and individuals continue to thrive.
As a small business owner and consultant, Michelle joined the Grand Terrace Area Chamber of Commerce to contribute her support of sustainable economic growth and development in our city. With the expansion of neighboring cities, commuter traffic on Barton Road will contribute to the city's revenues and, in return, establish an increased presence of San Bernardino County Sheriffs.
To further support local law enforcement, Michelle Sabino and family worked with community leader Johan Gallo to provide a contribution to Grand Terrace’s new Sheriff’s substation. The motivation behind this donation was to provide a comfortable space where deputies can take breaks and write reports while staying local, as well as to reinforce Grand Terrace’s strong relationship with our assigned deputies.
To further support local business prosperity, law enforcement, community organizations, and the values that make Grand Terrace one of the most sought-after cities in the Inland Empire to put down roots, Michelle was appointed to the Grand Terrace City Council in April 2024. In addition to serving as your local representative, Michelle keeps Grand Terrace’s needs and accomplishments at the forefront of our state and county leaders through her long-standing relationships with County Supervisor Dawn Rowe, Sheriff Shannon Dicus, and State Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh.
Michelle is running to keep her seat on the City Council; however, she has remained unchanged in that you can always count on Michelle to do whatever she can to promote our community, so that Grand Terrace will remain a beacon on a hill for generations to come. When I watch my wife listen to and respond to neighbors, her commitment to civic duty is undeniable. I am reminded of this scripture: “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 5:14-16 ESV)
