GRAND TERRACE >> Back due to popular demand, Blue Mountain Silver Liner offers another opportunity for seniors to take an excursion trip to the Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn in Riverside, California. Seniors are invited to attend the Festival of Lights Tuesday, Jan. 3. Pick-up will be from 5-6 p.m. for curbside pickup upon request, and 6 p.m. at the Grand Terrace Senior Center. The excursion trip is one of a few others that gave seniors the opportunity to enjoy the lights. This Southern California tradition, recently named the “Best Pubic Lights Display in the Nation” by USA Today, attracts more than 250,000 visitors from all over each year. The Festival of lights also includes a gingerbread theme throughout the hotel, horse-drawn carriages, holiday treats and more than 400 animated figures spread around the Mission Inn. The Blue Mountain Silver Line is a program aimed to help residents with their transportation needs throughout the city. To reserve a ride for trip, call 909-961-8982.
