LOCATION: Barton Road and Vivienda Avenue, Grand Terrace

SUSPECT: Aristotle Baysinger, 31-year-old resident of Los Angeles

SUMMARY:

On December 26, 2020 at 8:01 p.m. Deputy Rule conducted a traffic stop on a black Dodge for violations of expired registration and window tint. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle identified himself as Aristotle Baysinger. A record check on Baysinger revealed his license was suspended and a tow was requested. During an inventory search of the vehicle, Deputy Rule located a black fanny pack with the butt of a pistol sticking out of it, sitting on the back seat. Rule recovered a loaded polymer 80 "ghost gun" firearm with an additional 30-round 9mm magazine and the firearm did not contain a serial number. On the dashboard was an additional fanny pack which contained suspected methamphetamine.

Baysinger self-admitted to being a gang member out of Los Angeles and a record check revealed he is a convicted felon and is prohibited of possessing any firearm or ammunition. Rule arrested Baysigner for PC 29800(a), PC 25850(c)(6), PC 30305(a)(1), PC 25850(c)(3) , and H&S 11370.1(a). Baysinger was transported to Central Detention Center and booked on these charges.
