This past Sunday, the Grand Terrace Woman's Club transformed a warm July day into a winter wonderland with their festive Christmas in July Bingo Fundraiser. The event was a resounding success, bringing together community members for an afternoon of fun, excitement, and charitable giving.

With generous donations from local businesses and club members, the bingo players were eager to win fantastic raffle prizes. Nothing Bundt Cakes in Redlands contributed two exquisite cakes—one Snickerdoodle and one Strawberries and Cream. The lucky winners were thrilled to take home these delectable desserts.

Arevon Energy donated a $50 Woody’s gift card, which was cleverly paired with BBQ tools, hotpads, dish towels, and more, making it a highly sought-after prize. The creativity and generosity of club members shone through as they donated beautifully crafted baskets for both bingo and raffle prizes.

Club President Debbie Earle added a touch of holiday spirit by purchasing a charming Christmas lantern, while 1st Vice President Carolynn Crowe-Payne contributed a cozy robe perfect for cooler weather. The wine and glass basket donated by 2nd Vice President Vicki Doyle was another hit among participants.

Mary Wilson, the 3rd Vice President, delighted Elvis Presley fans with a selection of her favorite memorabilia. Corresponding Secretary Liz Linn added a festive touch with three candy cane stockings and two crystal candle glasses. The Woman's Club itself contributed a snack basket, complete with a Netflix gift card, ensuring a cozy night in for one lucky winner.

Cheryl Taylor, the club's Financial Reviewer, donated a bottle of Crown Royal, which quickly became a coveted prize. The club also created a unique raffle item—a small Christmas tree adorned with lottery scratchers, which garnered much attention. Margie Miller, an enthusiastic member, kicked off the donations with a beautiful basket filled with hunter green towels, an autumn puzzle, a candle, and soap.

The fundraiser's success was evident in the community's participation and the excitement in the air. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting local community programs, highlighting the club's commitment to giving back.

Looking ahead, the Grand Terrace Woman's Club is excited to announce their upcoming Back to School Bingo Fundraiser on August 11th. Attendees are encouraged to bring school supplies worth $4.00 or more to receive two free raffle tickets—a fantastic deal! Make your reservations today to ensure you don't miss out on the fun. Call 840-228-8880 to secure your spot.

Mary Wilson, the Bingo FUNdraiser coordinator, expressed her gratitude to all who participated and donated, and she looks forward to welcoming even more community members at future events. Don't miss out on these delightful gatherings that bring joy and support to our community.
