In Memory of Col. Rex Lawrence Poutre

Col. Rex Lawrence Poutre, a 58 year resident of Grand Terrace passed away on Thursday of last week. 

Poutre was born on February 6, 1920 in Concordia, Kansas. His father was Arthur D. Poutre and his mother was Ronalda N. Poutre (Nee Beland). 

Rex served in the U.S. Air Force for 34 ears. He flew combat tours in Europe, Korea, and Vietnam. 

Rex was married to his wife, La Vaughn for 71 years, before she passed away in 2014. Poutre is survived by his children Michael, Susan, and Kevin. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren, and ten great-great-great grandchildren.
