King of Glory

Months of hard work, dedication, and long practices culminated this past Friday night at Fleming Park in Colton. Hundreds of area citizens gathered as three area organizations collaborated to celebrate and pay homage to the resurrection of Jesus Christ with the production of “King of Glory”. The atmosphere was prepared by worship teams from both churches, as well as an opening benediction from Pastor Conrad Valdez of Echoes of Love.

Members of all three faith based organizations-Echoes of Love Ministry, in the city of Colton, Church of Fire in Christ, in the city of Grand Terrace, and Gospel Talent Search, which is based out of Redlands, have been coming together and practicing after their various Sunday services for months. The production was envisioned  to “Bring glory to God and reach those in the community who are in need of hope and a Savior” said Associate Pastor Alice Cimental of Church of Fire in Christ.

Under the direction of Rosie Ferreri, founder of  Gospel Impact Theater Team, the drama reenacted five scenes from the life of Jesus Christ leading up to the Resurrection. Immediately following the production, Pastor Julio Sandoval of Church of Fire in Christ gave a short message along with an alter call for those who were willing to make the commitment to Christ.  The impact to the community was felt as “over 25 people gave their lives to Christ,“ says Johnny Sandoval, also of Church of Fire in Christ. “We’re still getting great praise reports of salvation, healing, and restoration!” says Director Rosie Ferreri, who also thanked all cast and crew of the production:
