Anthony and Heather Chavez announce with great pride that their daughter, Grace Elizabeth Chavez, is graduating from Grand Terrace High School with Honors. Out of the 10 Universities she has been accepted to, Grace is accepting a scholastic and volleyball scholarship at Sterling College in Kansas.

While attending GTHS, Grace has maintained a 4.2 GPA for all 4 yrs., placing her in the top 20 of her class. Grace is a member of the National Honor Society and is an Honor Roll student. In addition to excellent grades, Grace has received the Scholar Athlete award for 4 years in a row, as she has played volleyball all through her HS career. Grace was team captain for 3 yrs. and received MVP for 3 yrs.

Grace has been the lead ambassador for GTHS ROP program and has assisted with mock interviews/career fairs throughout her high school experience. Last summer, Grace was chosen by her counselors to represent GTHS for a youth leadership conference (YCS) at Pepperdine University.  In addition, Grace volunteers at Veterans Affairs in Loma Linda in her free time, where she leads a group of volunteers.

Thus far, Grace has received a $1000 Scholarship from LiUNA local 777 and a $1000 Scholarship from Twin Metals Inc. We are very grateful for any and all help with expenses for college. It truly takes a village and we continue to feel honored by the love and support we have received and continue to receive. Hard work and commitment to excellence has found its place in our daughter and we could not be more proud of her. We are excited for her future and encourage all to stay tuned for big things from Grace.

Shine your light, Baby girl. Leave your mark on this world and remember that we support you in all you do.

Love,

Mom, Dad, Bella, Luke, and all your family and friends.
