Thinkwise Credit Union was honored with CUNA’s 2017 Benefits of Membership award for being amongst the nation’s best in providing financial benefits to members. These benefits include low loan interest rates, higher than average deposits yield and fewer/lower fees compared to other banking institutions.

CUNA is recognized as an influential financial services trade association. Their purpose is to advocate why credit unions are the best financial service choice for Americans.

President/CEO of Thinkwise, Heri Garcia said, “We are so privileged to be a part of the credit union movement.” He continued, “The credit union philosophy of people helping people is very near and dear to our hearts, and we instill that into every member interaction.”

Thinkwise Credit Union has been serving San Bernardino school employees since 1952.  Our members are what make us the stable and growing financial institution we are today. We pride ourselves on building strong, long-lasting relationships with our members.

“This award is just one of many motivators we have to continue providing the best financial experience to all Thinkwise Members!” said Garcia.

On behalf of Thinkwise Credit Union, Garcia attended CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) to personally receive the award presented by Jim Nussle, the President of CUNA.

“It is surreal.” Garcia expressed his gratitude, “We have always strived to give back to our members, and to be nationally recognized for it makes us very happy and proud.”

The CUNA hosted GAC that took place February 28 was recorded to be very successful. There were over 5,000 credit union professionals around the country who gathered, and Thinkwise Credit Union was right there amongst the best.
