New Year's Day Hike Gets 2014 Off to Running Start

The group of about 40 hikers who gathered at the top of Blue Mountain to see the sunrise on New Year's Day. Coordinator Ernie Medina Jr. described this group as "the diehard 5:30 a.m. hikers!"

In a new feature this year, sibling duo Rebecca and Erick Michel played some music at the top of the mountain. The musicians participated in both the morning and afternoon hikes on New Year's Day.
